Writing for Academic or Business purposes is a very difficult skill to master. In the following pages we are going to show you how you can use a range of tools to help develop your learners’ skills in this area.

Computers allow learners to write collaboratively in a way that pen and paper was never able to do. This is why we raise this as a separate issue from specific tools. There is a range of software available that is based on writing skills but which will also facilitate oral communication when worked on collaboratively by groups of learners who will scaffold each other through the tasks.

Keyboard skills are assumed.
